Here are some photos with Ace of Base. I took these in Gothenburg, Sweden back in 1995. They were doing a short set on the opening day of the World Championships in Athletics at the Ullevi Stadium.
They were rehearsing the set earlier in the day.
Soundcheck of sorts in the early afternoon.
I was photographing the band when they were arriving at Ullevi. I was walking backwards and didn’t see I was walking into a group of people. I heard with a German accent ”Gustaf, what is going on” (Gustaf, vad är det som händer ?). I had backed into the Royal Family and split them in two groups… Their police escort wasn’t pleased with me 🙂
When walking out to the stage at night we all had to put on these robes to blend in.
